General Clean-Up
Every image needs a little love. The outlet in the corner that couldn't be covered up, or the pipe trailing along the house in the outdoor scene.. or just regular dust and dirt that just refused to come off with a quick wipe. Attention to every detail, and removal of anything distracting, is the objective in any edit.
A Neglected Staircase Comes to Life
Some materials just do not age well. What was once a pristine, glorious stairway could use some real world love. The Art Director saw its potential, however, and knew I'd be more than delighted to bring this very visually appealing stairway back to life.
In addition to cleaning up the stairs, a few candles were not quite straight, and there were a few distracting things going on in the background. The candle holders were also somewhat grimy. This was not a quick edit, per se, but it was very satisfying to really bring this image to life.
Too Much Petina
While a little weathering is bound to happen to outdoor products, the journey of shipping and traveling from storage to shoot location can yield some rather unsightly wear and tear that would not do in a promo. With some artful removing and cloning, I was able to take this fire pit from sad to sellable.
Background Crud
Rooms people actually live in are messy. Even a studio set can wind up needing a little love. Here there was no clean up needed on the product, but by removing the distracting bits in the background the image sings a lot sweeter.
Little Touch-ups
In the following 3 images I have provided a few examples of some simple studio photo cleanup. Wrinkles were removed from throw blankets, and dirty spots were removed from the window around the wreath below to keep things clean!
