A Closer Look
Here is a closer look at the before and after of some of my most recent digital enhancements, as well as a few alternate edits for different looks.
Seen here is the lovely and talented singer/song writer Constance Upright. She was kind enough to model for me. A quick 15 minute shoot, I caught her prior to leaving for a concert.
Shot on a Canon 60D using an EF50mm f/1.8 ii lens at iso 100 shooting between 1/250 and 1/500 of a second at f/2.8.
Enhancements, styling, and more.
My workflow is simple. My aim is to remove the distracting elements and highlight the important parts of an image. I run a series of processes including cleaning up the image, applying frequency-based smoothing, dodging and burning, adjusting coloring and tone, and enhancing highlights. Time is an important element when editing, so I like to work as quickly and organized as possible to ensure workflow eases time management.
